Empirum Inventory automatically
captures an exact and up-to-date inventory of your
enterprise-wide networked devices; including all
hardware (RAM, hard disk, services, serial number, bios
version, etc.) and software using both industry
standards, SNMP, DMI, WMI as well as its own detailed
agent based inventory scan.
The data can be used as a basis for
distribution tasks (e.g. all PCs with more than 256 MB
RAM) as well as baselines to generate alarms when
modifications to systems are detected (e.g. RAM change,
graphics card removal, etc.).
Information is stored in a configuration
data base which includes “user definable data fields”
which allow for insertion of additional configuration
item (CI) data; (e.g. room number, phone, printer queue,
etc.). These fields are dynamically read and can be used
during reporting, status queries or software
distribution tasks

The open database architecture of Empirum
ensures a simple integration of the data into existing
systems.
Empirum Inventory allows
for the detected software to be reviewed against a
positive or negative list in accordance with your
company policy.
